Fishing on this lake is subject to pre booking of swims. We require a 50% deposit one week after your booking has been placed in order to secure your preferred dates. If the deposit has not been received within the time scales stated we reserve the right to re book your chosen dates.


Booking in advance is always required as this is a popular lake.

Mole cottage has two twin bedrooms on on the first floor and one on the ground floor, there is also a ground floor bathroom, there is a front ramped access and a level rear access all doors are widened for wheelchairs all switches are at lower height for wheelchair access. The lodge and kingfisher are not disabled access. Kingfisher is on one level but there is no ramped access and internally there is steps down to the living room and kitchen.



This extension onto the end wall of the Lodge was built only 10 years ago in a sympathetic Devon farmhouse style with views over Riverton’s lawns.

Season dates & opening times

Open from 1st March  until 1st December.

Gates open at 7am each day and close at dusk. Night fishing is only allowed on Fir Tree lake when booked in advance.


We remain closed to anglers during the winter period to allow the fish to rest and for us to conduct maintenance.
